A Little Bit About Me
A former professional dancer, I trained at The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and enjoyed a 10 year performance career. I have over 20 years experience teaching dance – Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe Work, Repertoire, Creative, Choreography – delivering to all ages & abilities.

I was introduced to Pilates in my early teens, to help strengthen & control my hyper-mobile body and it continued to form an integral part of my dance training and professional career. After sustaining a back and hip injury as a result of a car accident in 2012, I once again looked to Pilates to help heal my body and soon began to crave a deeper understanding of the technique. This led me to train with Body Control Pilates, gratefully supported by Dancers Career Development (DCD) in 2015. I continue to work as a Dance Artist in the North West, predominantly teaching young dancers.

I am passionate that Pilates is not only an invaluable tool for dancers, but for everyBODY - to function beautifully, pain-free, the way it was designed. Our imbalances are part of our uniqueness and each body presents a fascinating puzzle to solve – mine included! The modern world has surely hindered the body’s capabilities and brought on changes in typical posture. Pilates can challenge this, by building strength, flexibility and mobility. The benefits of Pilates run deeper than the physical; the connection of body and mind, of breath and movement bring a sense of deep relaxation and calm.
So happy to be sharing!
